Habitat
Found in lakes, rivers, reservoirs, wetlands, ponds, and streams
Water depths of less than 25 feet
Mean monthly surface water temperatures ≥ 68° Fahrenheit for at least two months
Low light requirements (1% of full sunlight or less)
Water quality is rarely a limiting factor – Hydrilla can grow under a wide range of water chemistry conditions and in both low nutrient (oligotrophic) and nutrient rich (eutrophic) lakes
